On August 23. 2008, the "Canal Street Pub" opened under the management of manager Lisa Bailey and owner Alan Dillenbeck. After purchasing the and with the help from family members, Lisa and Alan embarked on major and extensive renovations. New floors, refurbished walls and a sparkling modernized kitchen as well as the installation of a massive antique bar extracted from the landmark "Elm Tree Hall", a restaurant that Alan owned for fifteen years in Fort Plain. Adorning the new furnishings are the many antiques and numerous wood carvings gathered from around the world.

With their two daughters as dedicated staff, Lisa and Alan invite you to enjoy our extensive lunch or dinner menues at the Canal Street Pub. In addition to their daily specials of steak, clams and lasagna, Lisa offers daily homemade soups. 

Canal Street Pub offers a vast selection of domestic and imported beers, a substantial wine list as well as all types of mixed and frozen drinks.
