
Spring is here (almost?) It’s time to get back outside and start tending the gardens! For those of you that a home garden is something that you are new to, or if you would just like to improve your garden lot, The Canajoharie Library will be starting its Gardening Series this month.
The series will focus on Soil and Site Selection for your garden, Composting, Container Gardening and Planning Your Garden.

Tuesday April 12th 6-7pm - Soil and Site Selection for your garden
Good soil is one of the most important components of a great garden. Learn some soil basics, how to locate the garden, types of vegetable gardens, and the best plants to grow in the beginning garden with Jay Ephraim. Wednesday, April 20th 6-7pm – Composting
Let it Rot! Composting is easy and is the key to growing healthy, delicious garden vegetables and flowers. Learn the basics, necessary tools, various approaches and techniques, and overall benefits of composting with Master Gardeners John Deitch and Joe Bartone. RSVP online!
Wednesday, April 27th 6-7pm – Container Gardening
Learn about the joy of gardening with limited space! Container gardening with Jean Sweet and Mary Ann Charon will explore selection of the best plants for your containers, their arrangement and care. RSVP online!

Learn about planting your garden, including spacing, pre-planting preparation, and putting plants in the ground with Master Gardeners Melanie Gessinger and Ed Radle. RSVP online!
