The Northern and Eastern Neighborhoods Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Advisory Committee will host a public workshop for the East End Brownfield study area on Thursday, February 16th from 6:30-8:30pm at St. Mary’s Church Hall located at 200 East Main Street in Amsterdam.
This will be the second public workshop held for the East End study area. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the Brownfield program, review and confirm a community vision for the study area, and discuss desired future projects and improvements. The meeting is open to all City residents and business owners.
The BOA Advisory Committee will also host a public workshop for the Northern Neighborhood brownfield study area on Wednesday, February 22nd from 6:30-8:30pm at the Elks Lodge located at 8 Fourth Avenue in Amsterdam.
This will be the first public workshop held for the Northern Neighborhood study area. The purpose of this meeting will be to provide an overview of the Brownfield program, discuss strengths, weaknesses and opportunities; begin to create a vision and identify future improvements for the Northern Neighborhood. The meeting is open to all City residents and business owners.
The workshop is supported by the New York State Department of State’s BOA Program. The program provides financial and technical assistance to communities to develop revitalization plans and implementation strategies for areas affected by the presence of brownfield sites.
