The 3rd annual Ride To Support the American Legacy Scholarship Fund is coming up fast! The ride, sponsored by the American Legion Riders of Post 701 and Co-Sponsored by the Patriot Guard Riders, will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009, rain or shine. The American Legacy Scholarship helps educate children of active military personnel who died on or after September 11th, 2001.
The cost is $20 per person, or $35 per couple. Registration starts at 10:00 am at the Sawmill Tavern (located at 501 South Ave, Schenectady). Ride leaves promptly at noon, from the Sawmill Tavern. They will sop at the VA Hospital in Albany to visit with the veterans. Ride ends at the American Legion Post 701, located at 123 West Main Street, Amsterdam.
