Arkell Museum Announces New Film Series

The Arkell Museum at Canajoharie is pleased to announce its newest film series, inspired by its Love Story Romance illustrations exhibition, on view now through early May at the Museum.

On Friday, April 10th at 7:30 Lola (1981, NR) will be screened with an introduction and discussion by Erika Nelson, Assistant Professor of German Studies at Union College.  Lola is a German language film by Rainer Werner Fassbinder about a beautiful, strong woman searching for love, success and happiness in postwar Germany.

On Friday, April 24 at 7:30pm Jules and Jim (1962, NR) will be shown with an introduction and discussion by Audrey Kupferberg, who is a SUNY Albany film lecturer and WAMC film reviewer.  Jules and Jim is a classic 1960′s French language film by Francois Truffaut featuring a decades-old love triange with an impulsive woman.
