The Black Cat Cafe, on Main Street in Historic Sharon Springs NY, invited friends, family and customers to join them on Valentine’s Day this past Sunday for the Grand Opening of the recently renovated upstairs of the Black Cat Cafe.
The Café and Bakery has become a focal part & gathering place.
Already known far and wide for fabulous baked goods and delicious breakfasts and lunches – featuring Vanessa Daou’s amazing desserts and incredible artisanal breads that are baked fresh daily – this expansion will further the Black Cat Cafe as a wonderful stop or destination in Sharon Springs.
The focus of the upstairs will be the demonstration kitchen where Tony and Vanessa (along with some yet unnamed chefs…possibly celebrity chefs as well?) will feature cooking classes.
They also have wifi internet so that you can enjoy a business lunch along the internet bar, or if you prefer, you can lounge in the library area while enjoying their delectible treats.
The turnout was amazing, as were the foods. We met people who readily traveled over an hour away just to be there to support Tony and Vanessa in their opening.
Enjoy some photo’s we took during the celebration.

And if you haven’t had the chance, I strongly recommend stopping in. They have an extensive menu featuring home crafted foods, with their own grown herbs, gourmet coffess and many exotic teas. I recommend everything on the menu, although my favorite may just be the Thankgiving Sandwich!

I was there also & can’t wait for the cooking demonstrations to start. This is one of my favorite places, always fresh ingredients and herbs, & I enjoy the variety of herbal teas.
Oh, I had no idea they were doing that. I love to cook & I’m always excited about learning more. I will have to check them out – thanks
What a fun party it was and the space is truly unique and inviting. I can’t wait to see that gorgeous oven and cook top in action!
