A Community Block Party will be held, rain or shine, on School Street in the Village of Broadalbin on Saturday, October 3rd, from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. Volunteers are needed to help with the event which is sponsored by the Town of Broadalbin, Village of Broadalbin and the Broadalbin Youth Commission. Tentative plans include, food, fun, music, raffle, hay ride, chainsaw carving demonstration, bouncy bounce, jousting booth, obstacle course and other free games. Craft booths will be included and a car show will be added this year. Persons interested in helping, as well as those interested in setting up a craft booth, or entering the car show should contact Keith Buchanan at 883-5827 or by e-mail to kbuchan2@nycap.rr.com.
