Story Hour registration for 2009-2010 is now taking place at the Canajoharie Library. Programs for 2 year olds will be offered on Wednesdays from 10:30-11:00am. Programs for 3 year olds will be held on Tuesdays from 10:00-11:00am. There is also a Wednesday 3 year old class from 1:00-2:00pm. Story time will run in one continuous session beginning on September 22, 2009 and runs through May 26, 2010. All classes are free but space is limited and spots are available on a first come, first serve basis.
The Story Hour program is conducted by Nancy Baldwin, Children’s Programs Coordinator. Activities include listening to stories, participating in games and songs, and doing simple crafts and projects. Children gain experience in listening, following directions, developing social skills and skills in cutting, pasting, and coloring. Parents are requested to stay with their child during the Story Hour program. A library card with a parent’s or guardian’s signature is required for children to be able to borrow books.
