This Saturday’s performance at the Amsterdam Riverlink Park Series features Cedric Watson, a Grammy nominated fiddler, vocalist, and accordionist exploring the roots of Louisiana’s Creole music with Bijoux Creole. Playing a variety of old-school zydeco styles, original material and Creole traditionals, the polyrhythmic and syncopated sounds of Africa and the Caribbean are unmistakable in this ensemble of talented musicians. Cedric Watson was the winner of 2009 Big Easy Music Award for best Zydeco.
Riverlink Park is located on the Mohawk River in downtown Amsterdam (NYS Thruway Exit 27) with parking on the upper level of the Riverfront Center (Route 30 North – entrance on right, opposite the Amsterdam Post Office).
