Fall 2009 Adirondack Outdoorsman Show

adkshowTwin Cities Sports Promotions announces plans for the Fall 2009 Adirondack Outdoorsman Show & Exposition, to take place at the Johnstown Moose Club Grounds on Saturday September 12th (10am-6pm) & Sunday September 13th (9am-6pm). The Grounds are located at 109 South Comrie Avenue / Route 30A North in Johnstown (just 5 minutes from NYS Thruway Exit 28).

The show will be geared towards the tastes of Hunters, Fisherman, Boaters and Outdoors Enthusiasts. Exhibits containing items for sale pertaining to: hunting & fishing gear/supplies, guns, fly fishing, archery, trapping, boating, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, guides & charter services, taxidermy, snowmobiling, 4-Wheeling, collectible knives, antique hunting & fishing gear, wildlife art & books and Adirondack Furniture. The show has been expanded to include many new vendors & activities spread throughout the club’s grounds which will include a Trout Pond, Rock Climbing Wall, Seminar Tents (seminar schedule to be announced), Ax & Knife Throwing Demonstrations (and learn how to do it yourself), and several other events/competitions (to be announced).
In addition, many featured guests and industry experts are scheduled to be on hand throughout the weekend.  

Featured Guest #1: Meet the Host of Ship Shape TV – John Greviskis. Greviskis hosts the popular Boat Improvement Show that is televised across North America several times each week. John and his show have long been considered by many to be the “This Old House of the Marine Industry”. Come meet John and ask him questions about your own boat improvement projects & listen in on one of his seminars. Visit www.shipshapetv.com to learn more about him and his show. Featured Guest #2: Meet the Times Union Outdoor Columnist – Robert Streeter. Rob is a freelance writer who contributes a Hunting & Fishing Column each week for the Albany Times Union newspaper. He has published two books; “New York Fly-Fishing Guide” and “Warmwater Fly-Fishing, Finding and Catching Warmwater Species”. He is also a frequent contributor to several magazines such as Eastern Fly Fishing, Bow & Arrow Hunting and American Angler. His works are also published on; www.Biggamehunt.net , www.FishNY.com and www.Sportsmansguide.com . Rob will have copies of his books available for signing and will be doing a seminar each day.

Featured Guest #3: Meet the founder of the Wildlife Sports & Educational Museum – Robert (Bob) Kazmierski. Bob will be on hand to discuss his Museum that opened in 2005. Learn first hand how the Museum came to be and see a sampling of the over 100 Record White Tail Deer Mounts that are featured at the Museum.

Featured Guest #4: Book signing by Hunting Author Dr. Randall Gilbert; who returns with his two newest works “Whitetail Woods” and “The Deer Hunter Footstool/Camp Book.”

Featured Guest #5; Meet the Editor of New York Outdoor News Steve Piatt & pick up your complimentary copy of his publication. Also featured at the New York Outdoor News Booth will be replica Mounts of several NYS Record Fish, including Peter Dubuc’s North American Record Northern Pike that was caught on nearby Sacandaga Lake in 1940.

Featured Guest #6: Book signing by Adirondack Author/Guide/Historian Don Williams, who will have all of his life’s works on hand for sale & signing.

Featured Guest #7: Meet Amsterdam Recorder “Outdoor Columnist” and newly elected NYS Outdoorsmen HOF member Ron Kolodziej.

Featured Guest #8: Meet the Daily Gazette “Outdoor Columnist” Ed Noonan.

Featured Guest #9: Book signing by Fishing Author Spider Rybaak. Spider is a NYS Fishing expert and has penned two books on the subject; “Fishing Eastern NY” and also “Fishing Western NY”.
More Featured Guests (Industry Experts & Book Authors) are scheduled to be announced. A full schedule of Seminars & demonstrations will be announced at the opening of the show.
