Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, The Arkell Museum at Canajoharie will be presenting the film ‘Pieces of April’. This film, released in 2003, chronicles the misadventures of April Burns, who invites her family to Thanksgiving dinner at her teeny apartment on New York’s Lower East Side. As they make their way to the city from suburban Pennsylvania, April must endure a comedy of errors – like finding out her oven doesn’t work – in order to pull off the big event.
This film was an award winner at the Sundance Film Festival,The San Francisco Film Critics Circle, the Chicago International Film Festival, and nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe award.
This film will be introduced by Jason Radalin, professor of theatre arts at FMCC. Admission is $4 and desserts will be available for purchase (including pumpkin pie, of course!)
The Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library are located at 2 Erie Blvd in Canajoharie, NY. They can be reached at (518) 673-2314.
