The City of Johnstown will have the 7th Annual Holiday Parade as an early kickoff to the holiday season tomorrow night. This year the parade route will be starting on Madison Avenue and ending at South Chase Street, and the parade will be a Disney Theme.
Each year the parade attempts to raise money for the area with fundraising, donations and entry fees in the parade. The proceeds are used for Johnstown and Gloversville school districts to help defray the cost of field trips for less fortunate students.
This year the parade is sponsored by The Daily Gazette, with the Grand Marshals Tom Roehl and Steve Savage of WENT.
Elves will disturibute program booklets along the parade route, and candy will be handed out to spectators.
