Rain or Shine
Amsterdam Mayor Ann M Thane and the Amsterdam Neighborhood Association invite you to join the 2010 Citywide Spring Volunteer Cleanup.
The Goal is 500 volunteers and 1000+ bags of litter gathered from the streets, parks, waterways, playgrounds and public areas.
Items must be gathered from the great outdoors and there will be restrictions as to what we will accept. Unacceptable items include household trash, leaves, tires, paint, oil, gas, electronic waste and hazardous materials.
Tight restrictions will be enforced at the unloading site and the City reserves the right to refuse any load.
Prizes!
Each person that brings two 33-gallon garbage bags of litter on Saturday, April 24th (picked up, raked up, or creatively retrieved) from our streets, parks, playgrounds and public areas will be entered into a drawing to win a Gift Certificate from area grocery stores, a Gas Card or Fast Foood items coupons as a thank-you for your efforts.
The Drop-Off Sites:
Park & Ride Parking Lot, Church Street – Just above the Noteworthy Parking Lot
South Side Bike Path Parking Lot – Just beyond La Cucina
We need volunteers to organize and lead the charge!
33 gallon garbage bags available for FREE at the dropoff sites for this purpose only.
