You may have heard that the programs at Schoharie Crossing Historic Park had been put on hold pending state funding and other concerns. Well, this morning I received this email from Gina DaBiere-Gibbs, Montgomery County Tourism Director:
“Great news! Schoharie Crossing just got the go ahead for all April programs including tomorrow’s lunch and learn series at noon. Join her to learn about springtime wildlife at Schoharie Crossing- where and what animals you might find while hiking the Towpath Trail. Bring your lunch. Drinks and dessert available. $2 suggested donation.
Thursdays in April Lunch and Learn Series. Join us at noon in the Enders House for a quick half hour to 45 minute talk about a local history or nature topic. Bring your own bag lunch. Drinks and Dessert will be provided. $2 donation requested.

Hello Mohawk Valley Guide.com
I was given a heads up about this article. I do not like the headline you picked because it gives the preception that Schoharie Crossing is okay, and exempt for the state budget cuts. This is not the case. We have only been given the go ahead for April programs only, nothing beyond that, and not all April programs, only most of them. The final determination will be based on when the legislature passes the budget. The April programs that have been given the go ahead will only continue to proceed if the budget for parks is included in that decision. Tricia Shaw
