This Saturday’s performance at the Amsterdam Riverlink Park Series features Solid Smoke, a high-energy 4-piece band that serves up a powerful mixture of Motown, Funk and R&B.

“Solid Smoke is a high energy 4 piece band that is on fire, featuring James Scott on the bass, Mike Wooten on the guitar and synth, Myron Thomas on the drums and Decky Lawson on vocals, with influences from Earth,Wind and Fire to Rick James, Funkadelic, to Stevie Ray Vaughn. I guess you could call it funk and roll, but thats not all. The vocal arrangments and harmonies are tight also, you might even hear them throw in a temptations song hear and there, where theres smoke theres fire. A must see band.”
