Buddy Valastro, star of Cake Boss on TLC, will be at Proctors Theatre on November 4th 2010.
Proctors is hosting a cake baking competition with the theme of Broadway shows. Contestants must choose one of our 2010-11 Key Private Bank Broadway Series shows as their cake’s inspiration. With Young Frankenstein, Fiddler on the Roof, White Christmas, HAIR and Disney’s The Lion King as choices, the entries will be truly fantastic.
Prizes will be awarded in three categories: Professional Baker, Recreational Baker and Youth baker (age 16 or under). Our five judges are Bobby Mallozzi of Villa Italia Bakery, Ruth Fantasia, Food Editor of the Times Union, Lorraine Murphy, owner of Bettie’s Cakes, Carrie Schoff of Proctors staff, and Mo Hogan Dennis, a Proctors Facebook fan elected by our team.
Our winners will receive two tickets to Buddy Valastro: The Cake Boss show on November 4 with an exclusive meet and greet with Buddy himself plus prizes from Villa Italia, Betty’s Cakes and the Times Union. May the best bakers win!
