I have seen a couple of episodes recently, and have been amazed by what goes on in peoples minds, and homes! If you have, too, then check this out!

Join us for a fascinating discussion of the book Homer & Langley by
E.L. Doctorow based on the most famous hoarders in history. Discussion will take
place on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 6:00pm in the Arkell Reading Room.
Based on New York City's famous eccentric Collyer brothers, this novel fictionalizes
the lives of the world famous hoarders. Homer & Langley lived in their parent's 5th
Avenue mansion and are perhaps the most well know hoarders in history, filling their
three story building with newspapers, old machinery and equipment and even a Model T
car!
A wonderful read from start to finish filled with sometimes brilliant insight,
quirky characters, and historical details.
This discussion will be lead by Siena College writing and literature professor:
Naton Leslie. Leslie will provide a historical introduction prior to the discussion
and will lead us into a lively group talk about the novel.
No registration is necessary, refreshments will be served and copies of the book,
audiobook, and large print book are available at the library circulation desk for
check-out.
