Wed – Bargain Night – All Rides 2 Tickets
Thurs. – Public Safety Night – Fire App. Demo
Friday – Fireworks Display
Saturday – Huge Fireworks Display

Lunch Served Monday through Friday starting at 11:00am

Dinner served nightly starting at 6:00

The Fair opens at 7:00 nightly

Riverlink Park Canalfest Concert

Saturday, August 8th 2009 at 12 noon

This weeks Riverlink Park Concert Series in Amsterdam will start at 12 noon to coincide with the Lock 7-12 Canalfest. There will also be all day activities with a farmer’s market, carnival rides, rowing demonstration, fireworks and more.

This week there will be several musical acts:

The Barefoot Boys; 2pm
Hudson Valley based string band performing American folk ballads and instrumentals

MedRock; 4pm
Medical professionals performing classic rock, featuring Sean Ryan, Peter Capobianco, Vic Giulianelli, Bill Mayer and Noy Militar

Terry Adams Rock & Roll Quartet; 7pm
NRBQ’s irrepressible founder brings his piano pounding party to Riverlink; with one of Chicago’s finest musicians, Scott Ligon, on guitar; Pete Donnelly on bass (The Figgs, Graham Parker) and Austin’s Conrad Choucroun on drums (Banana Blender Surprise, Damnations).

fireworksFort Plain will once again celebrate the 4th of July on the Third with many activities and events.

In Haslett Park (downtown) there will be Big Al’s Classic Car Cruise-In.

At Lock 15 will be a fishing derby from 7am – 4pm.

And the celebration continues at Wiles Park until dusk, with hot dogs, hamburgers, ice crean and more. (more…)
