tpbutterfly

Take a break from spring cleaning – it’s beautiful outside! And while your at it, here is a great craft to get into the Spring frame of mind (1st day of Spring Saturday!!!)

This is a very different tp roll craft than most.   It ends up “larger than life” (about one square foot) and is fun to play with.

Although younger children will have fun colouring the pieces (at least some of them), the craft is really more suited to Age 6+ as it’s quite a bit longer of a project.  If you don’t mind doing some of the crafting, by all means do it with younger children. They’ll get a kick out of the finished product.  However, children will need to be at least 6 to do it with limited adult help.

Although you don’t need to be a kid, or have one, to have fun with this!

HAPPY SPRINGTIME!

Helping my son with some math homework the other day made me think of this classic Abbott and Costello bit…

Which then lead to this one about exchanging money…

Enjoy your weekend!

Inspired by the Mop and Bucket Company, in improve comedy troupe that we saw in Saratoga Springs on First Night Out this past New Years, I pulled up some old Who’s Line Is It Anyway clips to share with my son.

Here’s one that we enjoyed immensely.

Friday Fun 12/10/09

Friday, December 11th, 2009

This Friday Fun also has a message involved:

They say everyone is touched by cancer in some way.

In one months time, my sister, my neighbor and good friend, my friend’s wife, and my wife’s best friend since childhood have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The severety of those involved ranged from lumpectomies to full double mastectomies, and the stress and suffering of all of the families involved have been astronomical.

This viral video has been making it’s way around, made by the folks at Providence St Vincent Medical Center, Portland, Oregon.

Our employees put together this video to generate breast cancer awareness throughout our hospital system. We had a ton of fun putting this together and hope it inspires others to join in the cause.

To all of you out there affected, keep fighting the good fight, and to those friends and families of those affectetd, keep supporting those in their time of need.
