In a world where people speak the truth and have no concept of deception, a young man about to lose everything invents the ’lie’ and goes on to not just change the nature of movie-making, but also creates the basis of religion. After much effort, he also gets the girl he loves.

Miracle on Main Street

926062_lantern_in_snowThe Middleburgh Renaissance Council, in conjuntion with The Village of Middleburgh and The Middleburgh Library is hosting the Miracle on Main Street in Middleburgh.  There will be activities in the Middleburgh Library, plus lots of fun on the streets & extended store hours!
Stop by and visit the Street Vendors. Enjoy some Hot Chocolate, Cookies, Hot Soup, Roasted Chestnuts, Hot Pretzels, and Much more…

On Main Street and Railroad Avenue you can:

  • Horse Drawn Wagon Rides 5:30pm-8pm

Victorian Christmas Tea at the Best House

besthouse1See the Best House while she’s all dressed up for the holidays! Attend the Victorian Christmas Tea on Saturday December 12th from 1:00 – 4:00. There will be tea and homemade cookies and an exhibit of beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Suggested donation is $5.00.

The Dr. Best House is located at 1568 Clauverwie across from the Middleburgh Central High School building.  It is truly a step back in time and displays the home as it was between 1870 and 1940.  (more…)

The Middleburgh Library has announced a raffle for the month of September.

redsoxThe Red Sox fans at Physical Therapy Associates of Schenectady have donated a Boston Red Sox backpack full of gifts for the baseball lover in your life.  Inside you’ll find a Louisville Slugger 125 year anniversary bat, a Red Sox ringer tee-shirt, a DVD- Baseball’s Most Unbreakable Feats and of course, peanuts and Cracker Jacks! Tickets are $3.00 or 2 for $5.00. Winners will be chosen at the end of September.

Jugglers Come To Middleburgh!

jugglerTo celebrate the end of Summer, the Middleburgh Library will be hosting the High Peaks Juggling Show.

With a background in children’s theater, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the performing arts, and a veteran of the reknown Philadelphia based Give & Take Jugglers, Eric Geoffrey has over 23 years experience in entertaining children and adults. His High Peaks Juggling Show is a highly interactive comedy juggling experience, with elements of vaudeville, theater, and the flavor of a variety show.
